A: Yes, however due to the difficult nature of some creditors your chances may be limited unless you have extensive industry and legislative knowledge. Ombudsman services will investigate issues for you but they will not be your exclusive agent and work on default removal for you as a stand alone service because their primary role is to police the industry. Generally an ombudsman will not give you legal advice or instructions on what you should be doing, they will normally only investigate. Just as a court will prosecute, you still need to know what you are doing and know how to present a case within the guidelines.

A: Most listings remain for 5 to 7 years from the original list date even if you have paid after the listing was made.
