Q: Can I fix my own credit file?

A: Yes, however due to the difficult nature of some creditors your chances may be limited unless you have extensive industry and legislative knowledge. Ombudsman services will investigate issues for you but they will not be your exclusive agent and work on default removal for you as a stand alone service because their primary role is to police the industry. Generally an ombudsman will not give you legal advice or instructions on what you should be doing, they will normally only investigate. Just as a court will prosecute, you still need to know what you are doing and know how to present a case within the guidelines.

Our extensive professional and industry experience gives us an unequalled advantage in removing adverse listings.

Q: How long do bad listings remain on my credit file?

A: Most listings remain for 5 to 7 years from the original list date even if you have paid after the listing was made.

Q: Are small listing amounts as bad as large ones?

A: In most cases, Yes. Many lenders use computerized scoring systems. These scoring systems do not look solely at default dollar amounts, instead they count the number of defaults listed.

Q: How long does it take to fix?

A: Credit issues don’t get fixed over night. Anyone who promises you a quick fix should be questioned. Often there are many departments we deal with such as the Credit providers, Credit reporting agencies, Governing bodies, Ombudsman offices and Courts.

Most issues average a turn around time of around 14 to 30 days.

Q: Why do I pay most of the fee once the job is done ?

A: Some companies will charge large amounts up front. Many of these companies will not even advise you of the cost unless you provide extensive personal and private information upfront. Unlike these firms, we pride ourselves on our results and high level of successful service delivery. We put our money where our mouth is, meaning if we can’t deliver then we don’t get paid for the whole job.

Q: How good is FixBadDebt at fixing credit file issues?

A: We are the best at what we do. We have to deliver what we say otherwise we don’t get paid in full. We believe we are the only group specializing solely in credit repair who back ourselves to this degree.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: This depends upon the type of listing, the number of listings and the time involved. After we discuss your credit file and the issues we can advise you of an exact cost before any agreement is made to start credit repair.

Q: Can I get my Credit file for free?
